Chelsea in Bloom at The Trafalgar King’s Road

To celebrate Chelsea in Bloom 2026, The Trafalgar, the first new pub on King’s Road in over a century, has drawn inspiration from the ancient and trusted ways sailors used to navigate their ships, via the stars.

From 18th – 24th May, The Trafalgar will honour this year’s intergalactic theme by showcasing an out-of-this-world multi-textile floral display as well as featuring a celestial cocktail list and sparkling three-course menu, each with carefully matched wines.

The Trafalgar have teamed up with renowned florist, McQueens, to create an incredible multi-textile and fynbos flower installation adorning their King’s Road entrance. A mix of varieties will be used, including King Proteas and Blushing Brides in honour of the pub’s location opposite the Chelsea Town Hall, well known for its weddings. Better yet, there will be a moon garden featuring flowers that only bloom at night, accentuating the importance and beauty of our night sky and the stars within it.

Shining bright, the new cocktail list will include creations such as a Polaris Sour with ABA pisco, lime juice, demerara sugar and egg white, or a Starlight Spritz with prosecco, St Germain elderflower liqueur, lemon, mint, and soda water. Enjoy as an aperitif or as a well-deserved drink after a day at The Chelsea Flower Show.

The stellar new seasonal menu will feature beautifully delicate dishes such as gin-cured chalk stream trout with pickled cucumber or English asparagus with broad bean purée and toasted Kentish cobnuts to start. For main course, try roast hake with samphire, Jersey Royals and Henners’ English Sparkling beurre blanc or wild garlic and morel risotto with pea shoots and olive oil. For dessert, perhaps treat yourself to a twinkling pink fizz, blueberry and viola jelly or an elderflower posset with strawberries and shortbread.

Tom Peake, owner of Three Cheers Pub Co, responsible for The Trafalgar, said: “Chelsea has always been renowned for its rich history with the stars. As this is our first festival, we are delighted to be able to take this to the next level. Chelsea in Bloom is a magical celebration and something we are proud to be part of”.
