Christmas comes to The Quarry in Erith
Local residents, customers and the wider community of Erith are invited to an evening of festivities and Christmas cheer at the award-winning regeneration project The Quarry, in Erith, Southeast London.
The event will be held on Wednesday 14th December, from 6.30pm to 8pm, at the landmark development delivered by L&Q and Anderson, which is creating a collection of more than 800 homes on the site of a disused quarry.
Held outside the Sales and Marketing Suite at The Quarry, guests are invited to meet their neighbours and find out more about the development, whilst enjoying a festive assortment of food, drink and music.
Those at the event will be welcomed with a winter warmer, including a tasty menu of hot chocolates, mulled wine and mince pies, together with 90 minutes of music from local gospel choir ‘Gold’. The performance will be led by Wura Abimbola, best known for her spectacular performance on The Voice in 2021 which caught the attention of Tom Jones. The Southeast London based group will perform a variety of festive favourites including ‘Last Christmas’ and ‘Winter Wonderland’.
Claire Brenlund, L&Q Sales and Marketing Director said: “As our community continues to grow at The Quarry, we’re delighted to be delivering more events at the Erith based development. Following the success of our Halloween Hunt which saw over 50 children across October half term completing the site-wide activity, we couldn’t wait to invite local residents, customers and the wider Erith community to our Christmas event at The Quarry.
Whether you live locally and fancy catching up with your neighbours over some festive food and drink, or you’re an interested buyer hoping to experience the community feel of the site whilst discovering the truly impressive, award winning eco-development and new homes, we look forward to welcoming you.”
The development is breathing new life into the disused Erith Quarry site, which has been neglected for more than 30 years. The scheme is being transformed into a collection of one, two, three and four-bedroom homes, released across several phases. It will also include a new primary school and community facilities, set to open in 2023, and will retain ecological areas complementing the existing landscape.
