Christmas Gifts Market launched at Livat Hammersmith

This festive season, Livat Hammersmith has partnered with Hammersmith BID to provide the local community with the perfect opportunity to pick up unique Christmas gifts, and celebrate local businesses, with a pop-up Christmas gift market in the Livat meeting place.

Running from 8th to 16th December, the market will provide local small businesses and entrepreneurs with freespace to sell their goods in the heart of Hammersmith. Stalls will be lined up with a variety of offerings, from jewellery and stocking fillers to beauty products, all from Hammersmih and Fulham based businesses, helping visitors to pick the perfect gift for their loved ones this Christmas.

Natalia Petalina, Meeting Place Manager at Livat Hammersmith commented: “Hammersmith is full of talented entrepreneurs and we’re delighted to offer small local businesses with a free platform to sell their goods, and to give local people the chance to pick up a range of gifts just in time for Christmas. Already this festive season we have hosted a variety of Christmas events, including our pre-loved present exchange and free Swedish Grotta, and the Christmas market is another way that we plan to give back to our community.”

As well as supporting local enterprise with the Christmas market, Livat will run a food bank collection point, encouraging visitors to donate much-needed items to support vulnerable families and individuals across the borough. The donation point will be open at the same time as the market, with all items donated to Hammersmith & Fulham Food Bank.

In addition to the general collection, Livat Hammersmith has pledged to donate 1,000 tins of fruit to the food bank as part of its ‘Reverse Advent Calendar’ initiative. Gathered from donations from staff, partners and visitors, the pledge will see Livat join a host of other local organisations in supporting the food bank with its vital work helping those struggling with the cost-of-living crisis this Christmas.

Natalia Petalinacontinues: “This Christmas will be an especially difficult one for many families across the country, and we are doing what we can in the borough to support those who need it most. The foodbank collection point – alongside our donation pledge – will allow visitors to donate either tins of fruit or any other items they can spare, to help those in need this Christmas.”

Livia Caruso, Assistant BID Director at Hammersmith BID said: “We’re thrilled to be partnering with Livat to offer this amazing opportunity to local artists and makers. The market will be the perfect chance for Hammersmith’s shoppers to pick up unique presents and support our community of local traders.”

The Christmas market will be open from 11am to 6pm from 8th – 16th December.

Shoppers can also visit Hammersmith BID’s pop-up market in Livat’s Sook Space for even more choice, open from 5 to 9 December.
