Commemorative VE Day Afternoon Tea at Westminster Abbey’s Cellarium Café & Terrace

This spring, step back in time to 1945 with a special VE Day Afternoon Tea at Cellarium Café & Terrace, located within the stunning medieval cloisters of Westminster Abbey. Available now until mid-June, the tea marks the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day, honouring the resilience and spirit of wartime Britain with a nostalgic culinary experience.

Inspired by the resourcefulness of the home front during the Second World War, the commemorative menu reimagines classic wartime flavours and ingredients. From savoury homity pie to mock apricot jam, each item pays tribute to the creativity born from rationing and hardship, all served with charming authenticity on mismatched vintage crockery.
