COMMUNITY FOOTBALL CLUB SCORES SPONSORSHIP FROM SITTINGBOURNE HOUSEBUILDER

Anchorians Football Club is kicking off the spring season with a two-year sponsorship deal for its Anchorians Men’s Athletic team from local housebuilder David Wilson Homes, who is building its Applegate Park in village of Borden, just outside of Sittingbourne.

Established in 2004, Anchorians Football Club now operates more than 85 teams for men, ladies, boys, girls, and those with disabilities, amounting to over 1,200 players across the Medway. The community inclusive club is located in Gillingham, a 20-minute drive away from Applegate Park and nearby to David Wilson Kent’s divisional offices. The two-year sponsorship with David Wilson Kent will help to cover the team’s operational costs for the next two years, including the purchase of a brand new kit, allowing the team to continue to offer competitive grassroots football within the community.

Natalie Perry, Sales and Marketing Director for Barratt Kent, comments: “We are very proud to be sponsoring an inclusive and community-driven grassroots football club for the next two seasons. It’s fantastic to see the wider community come together and enjoy the nation’s much loved sport in Medway, so we wish the Anchorians the best of luck for the rest of the season, and we hope they enjoy their fresh new kits!”

Ronnie Fardell, Sponsorship Secretary at Anchorians FC, adds: “The team has been playing in the same kit for nearly five years now, so we hope that their brand-new kit will put them at the top of their game! Our teams rely on the goodwill of the community, so we are proud that David Wilson Kent has committed to sponsoring us for the next two years, giving people the chance to play affordable football at a decent level. Welcome to the team!”

David Wilson Kent is currently building a range of new four-bedroom homes at its Applegate Park development in Borden, Sittingbourne, with prices starting from £449,995.
