Concours on Savile Row is only a few days away

Concours on Savile Row, London’s most stylish car concours takes place on Wednesday May 24th and Thursday May 25th.

This free-to-the-public event celebrates the long history that car manufacturers and tailors share, with many partnerships and collaborations being entered into over the two days.

The concours will feature some of the greatest cars ever made and the main stage will be a platform for music, talks on both collector cars and tailoring from experts and celebrities. More than 35 cars will be displayed including classic cars, supercars and electric cars.

The displayed cars include George Harrison’s Mercedes 600, Paul McCartney’s Lamborghini 400GT and the Electric Lady – the first fully electric Jaguar E-type Roadster. Cutting-edge technology will also meet cutting-edge tailoring with an Audi e-tron GT wrapped in a Richard James design. The Bentley Huntsman collaboration will also be revealed.

The Concours on Savile Row includes a seminar at the Royal Academy, sponsored by Blick Rothenberg where experts in art, finance and motoring will discuss how the most prized and sought-after cars are works of art, just like paintings hanging in galleries around the world.

Exclusive tailors will be opening their doors to visitors, with special displays, expert talks, as well as wine and whisky tastings. Such as Everrati’s collaboration with Clothsurgeon, a display of bespoke jackets inspired by the Everrati GT40.

Geoff Love, managing director of Hothouse Media, which runs the Concours on Savile Row said: “With just a few days to go, we are becoming increasingly excited for the Concours on Savile Row.

“The selection of cars is the most eclectic you are likely to find at any car event. Where else would you find Paul McCartney’s Lamborghini sitting alongside a JPS Lotus F1 car, or an Aston Martin Valkyrie next to the very first Bentley to compete at Le Mans?”

He added: “The fantastic tailors on Savile Row are all open for business and are showcasing many of the skills that make Savile Row the home of bespoke tailoring.

“And with a full programme of talks on the main stage, including the likes of Jackie Ickx, David Gandy, Nick Hewer and Freddie Hunt, the two days are set to be highly memorable. And, to top it all, entry is absolutely free.”

New partners to the event include Mercedes-Benz, Lotus, Norton Motorcycles, Audi, Callum Design, Alfa Romeo, BRM, RML and Electrogenic.

They will be welcomed by existing partners Lunaz, Morgan, Bentley, Aston Martin, Caton, and Everrati.

Concours on Savile Row promises to show the famous street at its very best, celebrating British style, craftsmanship and sustainability – and all thanks to the support of Westminster City Council, the Pollen Estate, and sponsors Chopard, RM Sotheby’s, Hagerty, FOPE, and Magneto.
