Corinne Charton returns to The Muse Gallery with a solo exhibition

One of the inaugural artists in residence at The Muse some fifteen years ago, Corinne Charton returns to the gallery with a solo exhibition of video and collage works.

Corinne’s practice is centred around a playful disruption of familiar narratives; whether by breaking up tightly shot footage and reassembling sound and visual fragments into often disturbing vignettes, or by combining original painting and found elements into grotesque characters.

Her video clips are inspired by experimental filmmaker Martin Arnold and challenge the very passive activity of watching a movie, while her collages make reference to her former career on international fashion catwalks.
