COUNTDOWN TO CHRISTMAS: MOVE INTO YOUR NEW HOME BEFORE THE BIG DAY WITH DAVID WILSON HOMES
With just over 10 weeks to go until Christmas, local housebuilder David Wilson Homes is encouraging homebuyers and home movers alike to act now to ensure they make the move into their new home before Christmas.
With the average time to move into a new build home significantly less than the average of 132 days in England and Wales, buyers are snapping up new homes across the country, including at David Wilson North Thames’ Sawbridge Park development on West Road in Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire.[1]
There are a handful of spacious two and four-bedroom family homes available to move into before Christmas, including the semi-detached Wilford – a two-bedroom home perfect for couples and young families with two allocated parking spaces, installed electric car charging points and a social lounge which opens out onto the garden, starting from £414,500.
Marc Woolfe, Head of Sales and David Wilson North Thames, comments: “The housing market is back in full swing, and the recent stamp duty holiday will save both first time buyers and second steppers alike up to thousands of pounds. This saving will make a huge difference and provide buyers with a much needed cash boost at such a critical time, enabling them to make the move sooner than expected.”
There are also four four-bedroom homes ready to move into for Christmas, starting from £750,000. The Holden is a generously proportioned detached home with a lounge, study, utility room and open plan kitchen dining area downstairs. Upstairs, the home boasts three double bedrooms with en-suite to the main bedroom, a family bathroom and fourth bedroom. What’s more, selected homes feature upgraded appliances and fittings, and include a generous stamp duty contribution.
Marc Woolfe adds: “Buyers could be forgiven for thinking that they have missed the boat when it comes to moving in before Christmas, but when buying new the process is far speedier as some elements of a chain are removed. We also offer a Part Exchange scheme, which not only provides a guaranteed buyer but crucially removes estate agent fees and chains, helping buyers to move into their new home even sooner.”
Once complete, Sawbridge Park will comprise of 40% open space dedicated to allotments, green spaces and recreational areas. A range of wildlife friendly features will also be installed including bat roosting boxes, bird boxes, hedgehog highways and hibernacula, alongside 1.25 acres of wildflower planting. A total of six Sustainable Drainage System (SUDs) ponds will be installed, providing a habitat for amphibians, dragonflies and smaller pond creatures.
The development has been designed with sustainability in mind, with all homes at Sawbridge Park and a number of visitor spaces including electric vehicle charging points. Homes also benefit from high levels of insulation and energy efficient boilers, meaning that new homes at the development could be up to 65% cheaper to run, saving homeowners up to £2,419 per year on energy bills.
Sawbridgeworth itself has plenty of amenities within the town centre, including a range of independent restaurants, shops and a leisure centre, alongside two Outstanding primary schools. The popular towns of Harlow and Bishop’s Stortford are nearby, with a wider selection of high street chains, bars and an Empire cinema.
Sawbridge Park is ideally located for commuters with Sawbridgeworth Train Station just a four-minute drive away and London Liverpool Street within a 45 minute reach. For travel by car, the new M11 junction 7A is due to be completed within the next year, whilst Stansted Airport is just a 22 minute drive away.
Currently available with David Wilson Homes at Sawbridge Park is a collection of two, and four-bedroom homes. Prices start from £419,995 for a two-bedroom home.
