Covent Garden photography venue to host special event celebrating street photography and zine culture

A photography venue in Covent Garden is set to host a special evening event featuring a London-based, acclaimed photographer.

Fujifilm House of Photography, on Long Acre in Covent Garden, will open its doors later this month for an event that promises to bring street photography into sharper focus, as it hosts a talk and zine signing with London-based photographer, Josh Edgoose.

On Friday 26 June, the London venue will welcome Edgoose as part of its FUJIFILM Lates programme, with a £15 ticketed event running from 6–9pm. Each attendee will receive two drinks and a complimentary copy of A Series of Minor Events, which Edgoose will be signing during the final part of the evening.

FUJIFILM Lates is a regular after-hours programme of events designed to open up photographic practice to wider audiences, both amateur and professional. The series brings together photographers, artists and practitioners for talks, screenings and discussions, with the aim of encouraging engagement with both contemporary image-making and the processes behind it.

The evening event will focus on Edgoose’s latest project, A Series of Minor Events – a 56-page full-colour zine documenting small, characterful and often overlooked moments from across the UK. The work draws on colour, portraiture and the quieter details of everyday British life.

Known for a style that blends street photography, documentary work and a dry sense of humour, Edgoose’s work often highlights candid interactions and the understated moments that unfold in public spaces.

During the event, Edgoose will talk through how the project developed, from photographing events and day-to-day scenes around the UK to editing and sequencing the final zine. Attendees will hear about his approach to building a cohesive body of work, the role of personal projects alongside commercial assignments, and the practical decisions that shape a publication from start to finish, before having an opportunity to put their own questions to him.

Theo Georghiades, Commercial Director at FUJIFILM UK, said: “We’re incredibly excited to welcome Josh Edgoose as part of FUJIFILM Lates. This new programme of events from the FUIJIFILM House of Photography is about giving people the chance to hear directly from photographers about how their work comes together – and Josh’s project is a great example of that.

“His work has a quiet observational quality that really captures the unexpected moments in everyday life that most of us walk straight past. This new body of work captures a side of the UK that feels familiar but is rarely documented – it’s a real must see.”

The event will take place at FUJIFILM House of Photography, 1st Floor, 8–9 Long Acre, London, WC2E 9LH. Attendees must be aged 18 or over.
