With spring in the air, The Big Egg Hunt arrives at Covent Garden (24th March -27th April), a city-wide adventure to find over 100 large-scale egg sculptures designed by world-renowned artists.
Spring also sees the launch of new Covent Garden Good Food Club Guides, allowing you to discover a world of diverse dining in the heart of London.

Hop to it! The Egg Hunt is On

This spring, London will be filled with the vibrant display of over 100 beautifully designed, large-scale egg sculptures. The Big Egg Hunt, taking place from 24th March to 27th April, is a collaboration between wildlife charity Elephant Family and Clarence Court. This city-wide spectacle brings together world-renowned creatives, including Mr Doodle, Anya Hindmarch, LUAP, Rana Begum, Sophie Tea, Philip Colbert, Beth Katleman, and many more, to showcase unique egg designs. These captivating works of art will be scattered across London, including a hunt across Covent Garden, offering visitors the chance to explore the city while discovering these colourful, one-of-a-kind sculptures.

The hunt is more than just a walk through the neighbourhood. Using the official app, participants can track down each egg, unlock exclusive rewards, and be in with a chance to win special prizes. Covent Garden will offer exclusive discounts and treats for egg hunters, including:

The Ivy Market Grill’s ‘Breakfast With Bunny’ on Easter Sunday (20th April), invites kids to decorate bunny-shaped cookies and tuck into special treats. The experience includes a photo with the Ivy Bunny and features kid-friendly options like Mini Full Breakfasts and Buttermilk Pancakes. The adults are taken care of too, each receiving a beautifully decorated Ivy Easter Egg, filled with Belgian chocolate truffles. Running from 9 am – 12:30 pm, with tickets priced at £30.95 for adults and £18.95 for kids. Limited slots available, so be sure to book ahead for this egg-citing experience.

Fun For All The Family

The fun doesn’t stop there. At Seven Dials Market on the 9th, 10th, 16th, and 17th of April, artist Caroline Dowsett (participating artist in The Big Egg Hunt) will guide families in crafting colourful Easter egg designs using vibrant materials. Inspired by the Big Egg Hunt, this free creative workshop offers a perfect opportunity for children (aged 3+) and their families to celebrate the spring season by creating their own art pieces.

Easter at Covent Garden is a family affair! From 5th -10th April visit the London Transport Museum for engaging workshops celebrating 25 years of Transport for London. Kids can create their own designs, build maps of their ideal London Underground system, or even take part in Mini-Buskers sessions. Families with younger children (aged 5 and under) can also enjoy an interactive storytelling session, where they can learn about the iconic big red London bus through songs and stories.
