Covid cleaner keeps a safe distance and gets time off for good organisation

Bilston business owner, Stuart Larmer, whose specialist cleaning firm provides ‘deep Covid cleaning’ has turned to a new mobile app to help his business adjust to social distancing requirements and to win back his time at the weekends.

Stuart, who set up Supreme Clean three years ago, was looking for a way to support working in a post-pandemic world; minimising the need for face to face contact with customers, without having to spend long hours, in the evenings and on weekends, doing paperwork.

“I heard about this app called jobmate, which was designed by a company in Wolverhampton.” Says Stuart, “The website said it could produce quotes and get my other business activities organised without all the usual manual admin’, such as writing out job details and invoices.”

Stuart says that the very nature of his business requires him and his team to enter properties all day long, so jobmate’s quick, digital two-way communication with customers and staff has cut down the need for unnecessary personal contact.

“Not only can I now safely manage the jobs from my mobile, but I can also see my team progressing with jobs in real-time. Also, the stock control mode tells me if cleaning detergents and materials are running low, so I don’t need to personally go on site to check up.”

With customers throughout the West Midlands and despite the pandemic restrictions, Stuart says he is busier than ever and thanks to ‘the business manager in his pocket’ now has time to put his feet up at the weekends.

jobmate was founded by Wolverhampton resident Chris Dalton and is specifically designed to help the self-employed better manage and improve their business. His new firm was recently dubbed the Best Software Company in Wolverhampton by the business analyst BestStartUp.co.uk.
