Croydon the Most  Accident-Prone Area of the Country

The British public may want to take special care on a Friday if they want to avoid an accidental injury, according to new research from National Accident Helpline.

The study, which analysed more than 350,000 claims inquiries from across the last seven years, indicates that more accidental injuries occur on the last day of the working week than on any other day of the year. When accidents like this happen, it can be incredibly jarring for the person or persons to go through, that is why there are resources such as Personal Injury Law Services in Milwaukee WI as well as injury services in local areas that can help with this issue as it arises and legally sort through what needs to be brought to the court’s attention.

The research analysed the specific days of the week that Brits are most likely to suffer an  accidental injury, identifying Friday as the most accident-prone day of the week  with  58,828 injuries reported to have occurred on the last day of the working week since  June 2013.

Brits are more than twice as likely (58%) to be injured on a Friday than on a Sunday, which was shown to be the safest day of the week, with 37,130 injuries occurring on the ’day of rest’ across the same timeframe.

Those in Croydon may also want to take extra care when it comes to avoiding accidents, with the data highlighting residents in the London borough recorded the highest number of claims enquires, followed by those in Leicester’s LE3 postcode (covering the western areas of the city), Coventry and Walthamstow.

Analysis by the helpline also found that more than 1,200 people have suffered an injury on the 1st August over the seven-year period – almost three times more than on Christmas Day, which its figures show is the least accident-prone of the year.

You can count yourself one of the lucky ones if you have managed to get through July without suffering an injury, with three of the top five most accident-prone days occurring this month. The data shows that the 1st July is the second most accident-prone day of the year with 1,256 reported accidents, followed by the 18th July with 1,202 accidents and the 4th July with 1,173. The top five is rounded off with the 31st October with 1,172 accidents.
