Cruiserweight Riakporhe to aim for 6th undefeated win at the O2 - London TV

Cruiserweight Riakporhe to aim for 6th undefeated win at the O2

After a string of pull-outs from opponents, the unbeaten cruiserweight Richard Riakporhe faces Adam Williams on the undercard of Dillian Whyte’s WBC silver heavyweight title defence against Lucas Browne at the 02 Arena in London.

Rumours became rifer on Riakporhe  (5-0)  being one of the most feared amongst his contemporaries when he was set to fight former Olympian Okolie at the end of last year who ended up amongst the line of fighters pulling out:

“That fight was supposed to happen in December, it was all agreed but then Lawrence Okolie and his team pulled out just a few days after it was made. I never got an explaination.,” said Riakporhe, 28.

For those that like big punchers there will be an instant infatuation with 6ft 5ins tall Richard Riakporhe as he is a heavy hitter with an undefeated record of 5 wins and 4 KO’s and his aim is to make that 6 wins on the 24th March.

Commercial Manager Ernest Kotey says “It’s a great introduction for Riakporhe to Matchroom and sky sports viewers who will get to know and experience who Richard is, effectively compare size, record and overall styles etc. It’s a massive opportunity and step-up onto the biggest sporting broadcaster in the UK.”

Still early in his professional journey, this experience will be a great indicator of what’s to come and how he handles a stage of such magnitude.

Riakporhe is in good company with backing from top heavyweight Anthony Joshua & Dillian Whyte (who Richard often spars coming from the same gym and who will be headlining the night)

There is also another tasty clash between light heavyweight British champion Frank Buglioni Vs Callum Johnson and more.
