Cuvva plans to give away £1,000’s worth of free fuel this summer as the cost of fuel skyrockets
With the cost of living at an all-time high and fuel prices rising through the roof, owning and operating a car is not cheap.
Filling up a family car currently sets you back £100+ compared to £68.57 a year ago, and leading flexible car insurance provider, Cuvva understands that there are probably a million other things drivers would rather spend their money on.
A hard-to-miss giant Cuvva lobster has been popping up at petrol stations around London, filling up lucky drivers’ tanks with fuel for free as part of their #LetUsCuvvaThatForYou campaign.
Spreading some much needed positivity, the Cuvva lobster was last spotted at the Shell garage on Goldhawk Rd, Chiswick.
They aren’t stopping there. Cuvva plans to give away thousands of pounds worth of free fuel this summer. If you missed them this time around, keep an eye on their social channels for teasers and hints on which areas the Cuvva lobster will be heading next. They’re even asking their community to make suggestions for their next stop over on their TikTok.
Darryl Bowman from Cuvva commented: “Filling up your tank is painfully expensive at the moment. It makes running your car even more costly. Our insurance already gives people a more flexible and cost effective way to drive, but we wanted to do a little more. If you see the Cuvva lobster hanging around, it may just be your lucky day.”
Cuvva is proving to be a gamechanger for those wanting to beat the cost of living crisis by ditching their cars and choosing to borrow someone else’s car instead.
