Cyclist in fatal Bexley road traffic collision identified
A cyclist who died following a collision with a lorry has been formally identified.
Police were called by London Ambulance Service at 04:35hrs on Monday, 8 October to reports of an injured male at Bronze Age Way, Erith.
Officers attended and found a 60-year-old cyclist, Brian Barnett of Duxford House SE2, had been in collision with a lorry, which did not stop at the scene.
Despite the efforts of LAS medics, he was pronounced dead at the scene at 05:27hrs.
His next of kin are aware.
An image of Mr Barnett has been provided by his family.
The lorry was found at 06:10hrs in London Road, Swanley.
The driver was arrested and later released under investigation.
Enquiries continue.
