Wine Brand Nice & Beer Brand Local are flipping modern dating on its head with Date My Mate, a one-night-only dating event landing in Holborn on Tuesday 11th February.

Dating is coming back to the pub. Instead of awkward icebreakers and endless swiping, Date My Mate hands the mic to your mates. Hosted by Comedian, Elliot Powell, each presenter has two minutes and a PowerPoint presentation to pitch why their single friend is the ultimate catch. Expect bold claims, unhinged slides and plenty of laughter.

The event will take place at The Square Pig, Holborn, from 7pm, and is open to over-25s. All genders and preferences are welcome. Guests can attend either as a presenter, a single being pitched, or a spectator simply there for the drama. Everyone gets a free drink on entry, courtesy of Wine brand, Nice & Beer brand, Local.

Audience members will help judge the best (and worst) pitches of the night, making it as entertaining for spectators as it is for singles. Think part comedy night, part dating show, part group chat come to life.

Tickets can be purchased on Eventbrite for £5, with limited availability. All proceedings from the event will go to The Square Pig’s chosen charity.
