DON NINO, THE LEGENDARY ITALIAN GELATO MAKER, OPENS FIRST UK STORE IN PADDINGTON SQUARE

Londoners are set to be transported to Italy as legendary Italian Gelato maker, Don Nino, opens its first ever UK store at Paddington Square – the new shopping and dining destination that has opened just outside Paddington Station.

Don Nino has earned international acclaim for its decadent gelato, freshly baked pastries, Sicilian cannoli and commitment to authentic Italian culinary tradition, serving at iconic locations across Rome and Florence.

At the heart of Don Nino’s gelato is the artistry of Francesco Mastroianni – a five-time Italian Ice Cream Champion and internationally recognised Master Gelato Maker. Honoured as a ‘Treasure of Italy’ for his exceptional culinary skills, Mastroianni’s expertise, alongside Don Nino’s rich and varied selection of flavours, provide an exciting new culinary selection for all to enjoy.

Don Nino offers twenty-four luxurious flavours, from indulgent Bronte pistachios and hand-roasted Langhe hazelnuts to decadent salted caramel and zesty lemon, all made in Italy from Italian recipes and ingredients.

In addition to its indulgent gelato, Don Nino’s menu offers a variety of sweet and savoury delicacies, including lobster tail pastries and Sicilian baked brioche, alongside several vegan and lactose-free options.

Paddington Square, designed by Renzo Piano Building Workshop, transforms the area directly outside Paddington Station, providing a new world-class welcome to London for the millions of tourists and commuters who travel through Paddington each year.

Paddington Square is a landmark 18-storey crystalline building in the shape of a geometric cube, surrounded by a new 1.35-acre public piazza, featuring permanent outdoor public art commissions from internationally acclaimed artists.

Four restaurants and 33 retail units provide local people and tourists alike with a wide range of high-profile brands including Kate Spade, Moleskine, Gails, Crew Clothing and Market Halls that includes two bars and seven kitchens serving up international dishes.

The development has also created a new Bakerloo Tube entrance, providing step free access to the Bakerloo line for the first time.

This autumn, CÉ LA VI – the modern Asian rooftop brand – will make its much-anticipated European debut at Paddington Square, occupying the top two floors of the building. It will become West London’s highest rooftop restaurant and bar, offering visitors sweeping views of the capital’s skyline, and the energy and elegance for which CÉ LA VI is internationally renowned.

Benito Megna, General Manager, Don Nino Paddington Square said: “We’re thrilled to introduce Londoners to our authentic Italian gelato and freshly baked pastries and Sicilian cannoli in our first UK store. We look forward to sharing la dolce vita with our customers – the best way to enjoy summer in London is with a Don Nino gelato!”
