Dr Alex George is fronting the campaign to share messages of kindness on the travelling billboards
With the country working through its third national lockdown, KIND Snacks is working with the nation’s favourite doctor, Alex George, to offer Brits the chance to exercise kindness by delivering personalised messages of encouragement and goodwill via a digital billboard to loved ones.
Residents in London, Liverpool and Manchester will be able to send messages to loved ones next week as part of a campaign to proactively exercise kindness and spread joy across the nation.
The free to send billboard messages will appear by recipients’ houses on a digital van. Sharing messages of support, sending love to those who need a pick-me-up or even simply brightening a friend’s day with a funny joke, the vans will take to the streets and spread much-needed positivity across lockdown Britain.
The website to submit messages is now open and friends and family just need to input their chosen recipient’s address, contact details and the message to be viewed from their window or doorstep – delivered in a safe and socially distanced way.
Dr Alex George, said: “I’m so happy to be partnering with KIND Snacks to share messages of kindness to loved ones in such a unique way, especially as keeping tabs on our mental health and checking in with family and friends is something that is key to getting through this lockdown. Showing kindness and compassion is something that is needed now more than ever, and even the smallest act of kindness can travel the furthest and really help our mental health, so it’s quite apt that these messages will quite literally be travelling the roads to bring some joy to people’s lives. Every little bit of kindness can go a long way and seeing a message so special at your doorstep is certainly something I’d love to personally receive form a loved one, so I hope that everyone is looking to send their messages to loved ones across the country.”
Coming at a time where kindness is more important than ever before, KIND Snacks is using the Driving Kindness initiative to build awareness of the importance of reaching out to friends and family at a time where we’re unable to meet up regularly. With the mood of the nation being distinctly low as Brits navigate the third lockdown, little acts of kindness can go a long way in improving someone’s mental health, reminding them that they have a support system in place that love and care.
Driving Kindness is part of a wider partnership with Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM). Joining together in a 2021 initiative, KIND Snacks will be partnering with CALM by donating 5p from every pack sold in Tesco and WHSmith, who will also match the donation, to the mental health charity.
