Dr. Beckmann thanks staff amid unprecedented demand for cleaning products!

Staff at Dr Beckmann are working around the clock to meet the nation’s growing demand for anti-bacterial household products, as more and more Brits stay at home.

The coronavirus pandemic has seen the UK quickly shift into self-isolation mode, with keeping homes clean high on the agenda.

Staff at the company’s main production facility in Bolton, Lancashire, are pulling out all the stops to meet the demand, working extra shifts and overtime as consumer pressure for anti-bacterial products reaches unprecedented levels.

Dr Beckmann spokeswoman Susan Fermor said: “I would like to say a huge thank you to all our staff for pulling together and working so hard to ensure production meets demand.

“Everyone here is absolutely committed to filling supermarket shelves and our staff have been incredibly generous with their time, working extra hours to make that happen.”

Demand for Dr Beckmann’s cleaning products has grown by 50% in the past 10 days and the company expects this to increase further over the next two weeks.

Since Monday, when the government advised people to stay at home as much as possible, increased demand for cleaning solutions has meant some retailers have even contacted Dr Beckmann directly to seek extra stock – a move unheard of previously.

Susan Fermor added: “People are clearly concerned about keeping themselves and their homes as clean as possible with coronavirus so virulent.

“As a result, we are experiencing exceptional demand for our Service-it Deep Clean Dishwasher Cleaner and Washing Machine Cleaner, both of which are anti-bacterial and known to kill 99.9% of bacteria and micro-organisms.

“We’ve never seen anything quite like this before. But extraordinary times demand extraordinary measures and our remarkable staff are doing everything they can to maximise production.

“We would just ask that consumers consider others when buying Dr Beckmann products – stockpiling can have negative effects on the elderly and most vulnerable.”
