Endura, proud pioneers of the euphoria of the ride, are introducing something new. Something that London needs. Three monthly ride outs from the capital across August, September and October. Time to leave the green city cruisers behind for an evening of road, gravel, and riding for the hell of it.
It’s no secret that Londoners can often become bogged down in smog, spreadsheets, and ‘severe delays’, but these events offer an escape – a chance for real community and real riding. A chance to get on your bike with 40 other riders and experience a tangible social buzz.
Who needs another city run club when Londoners can saddle up, bin the bus lanes and enjoy a ride with like-minded adventurers? Think a chilled pace with different speed groups if needed. Everyone’s welcome. Egos, less so.
There’s even a free brew post-ride. Beer, pop, water – doesn’t matter. Just gives riders something to hold while building new friendships with nice folk.
The first ride out takes place at 6pm on Wednesday 26 August, where riders will experience a 40km ride across gravel and road, starting at Hackney Downs, then traversing Essex’s lanes before returning to Neckstamper Brewery for a free bev and some friendly chat.
So what do you say London? Beats the tube…
