To celebrate the start of the 2022/2023 football season, streaming service NOW has partnered with the cult social channel Footy Scran for the first-ever Footy Scran Live event on Friday 5th August.
Hosted by presenter and footie fanatic Chunkz, Footy Scran Live by NOW will bring together some of the nation’s best loved football food (AKA scran), as Chunkz and special guests give their predictions for the season, while Sky Sport’s coverage of the London derby between Crystal Palace and Arsenal plays out on the big screen, all at the Courtyard at Vinegar Yard in the heart of London Bridge.
As The Eagles take on The Gunners at their home ground of Selhurst Park, stadium food and footy fans alike can enjoy the crème de la crème of British footy scran – all for FREE.
The mouth-watering delights, picked by Footy Scran, will include:
Nottingham Forest favourite Working Man’s Kitchen and their iconic Pizza Dog

Ahead of the event kick-off, YouTube personality, Chunkz said: “Football is one of my biggest passions and Premier League season is always a highlight of the year – I never miss a big game. I’m an Arsenal supporter so the fact I’m hosting the kick-off game, and it’s my team that’s playing, makes it even more epic.
Aside from the game itself, football food is one of the best things about match day – it’s what brings it all together. It’s going to be a good night and hopefully a great result.”
Tom Sibley, the creator of Footy Scran, said: “If you told me in 2021 that in less than a year, I’d be hosting a Footy Scran event with NOW to kick off the football season, I wouldn’t believe you. It’s crazy to think that sharing a photo of chips, sausages, and curry sauce in a cob has led to many heated debates on TV and online about the state of food at the footy.
I love heading along to a game with mates and grabbing some scran along the way is always a highlight – turns out I’m not the only one. Whether it’s a local game or the Premier League, food is always such a big part of match day. The best scran, footy, Chunkz – it’s mad, a pinch-me moment for sure!”
