On Saturday 16th September 2023, the UK’s first open-access factory, Bloqs, will host a special day of workshops, bespoke tours, demos, an exhibition and interactive theatre as part of Enfield’s borough-wide Festival of Industry, and Open House.

Funded by the Arts Council’s Place Partnership initiative, Enfield Festival of Industry will run until March 2024, featuring a dynamic programme of events. Open House takes place from 6th – 17th September, across London.

For their contribution to the festival, Bloqs host a very special open weekend featuring bespoke tours around the factory, interactive workshops – including the opportunity to make your own pizza cutter – plus machine demos, an exhibition showcasing works and designs by Bloqs’ vibrant Members community, plus delicious food and drinks provided by the incredible team at Bloqs Kitchen.

Bringing their unbound flair to the occasion, Saturday will see acclaimed performing arts collective Chickenshed debut a new musical theatre piece ‘Wooly Mammoths of Enfield’; capturing stories and historical facts from the borough alongside the new and cutting edge, this interactive theatre piece is both reflective of the past and full of praise for its new and modern industries.

In fitting style, Sunday 17th will feature a more laid back programme of activities. Bespoke tours of the factory will be on offer, as well as the members’ exhibition, delicious refreshments at Bloqs Kitchen and a workshop hosted by Chickenshed, providing fun for the whole family.
The celebrations will run from 9am to 8pm on Saturday 16th and 10am to 5pm on Sunday 17th September.
