Find Your Work Wife This Valentine’s Day at Kindred, Hammersmith

Freelancing and remote working have given us the freedom to work wherever we choose, but this can mean we miss out on the buzz of workplace friendships. Whether it’s to moan about your boss, bounce ideas around or someone to unwind with at the end of the day, everyone needs a work wife or husband. This Valentine’s Day (Weds 14th Feb), head down to coworking space Kindred in Hammersmith, for the chance to work for free and make some new connections.

Kindred is a beautifully restored, Grade II-listed coworking space, restaurant, bar and cultural events venue that’s open to all. Situated on Bradmore Square, next to Hammersmith tube station, Kindred’s mission is to gather West Londoners together in real life to create authentic human connections.

Kindred is offering all Londoners the chance to work for free this Valentine’s Day in its opulent coworking space. Spend the working day in one of the gorgeous rooms, before joining its daily mid-morning social (with free tea or coffee) and take the chance to meet your new work wife or husband – or simply a new friend.

The venue will also be hosting a special Valentine’s Day ‘Snap & Chat’, where those who opt in will be provided with numbered cards and randomly matched up with other attendees for a series of quickfire one-on-one chats whilst enjoying complimentary tea and coffee, leaving workers energised for the week ahead and better connected as a result. Similar events at Kindred have sparked new friendships, businesses and creative collabs, so who knows where this social might take you…

For a bite to eat, head to the on-site all-day restaurant Cellar, providing locally roasted coffee, simple (but delicious) ingredient-focused food, sustainable European wines and seasonal cocktails.

Treat yourself to lunch with dishes such as their legendary double patty Kindred burger; Beetroot Salad with smoked walnuts, chard and taleggio, or opt for a Power Bowls comprising a base of either udon noodles, greens & beans or rice & grains alongside avocado, carrots, chilli, sprint onions, bean sprouts, coriander and a spicy sesame dressing, with additional toppings of grilled chicken, fried eggs or roasted veggies.

For a post-work pick-me-up, try one of Kindred’s famous cocktails, such as the ‘West 6 Buttered Up’ with Portobello Road Celebrated Butter gin, or one of its legendary cocktails without alcohol such as the ‘Forest Spritz’ made with Everleaf Forest aperitivo, passion fruit, fruity peach and jasmine soda, garnished with popping passion fruit bubbles.

From 4 – 7pm, Cellar at Kindred will be offering two cocktails from the entire cocktail list for £14 as part of its ‘Double Down’ offer.

For the perfect end to the day, stick around for the ultimate groovy networking event – Jaz Unplugged. Back for a second time after their incredible show last November, this event will be giving the stage to five emerging artists who are set to shake up the music industry in 2024, plus one industry trailblazer. Unwind after the day’s work with fellow music lovers, enjoying the freshest music over cocktails and food from the late-night menu.

So, whether you are looking to make new connections or enjoy time with friends, head down to Kindred to enjoy something different this Valentine’s Day.
