FIRST LOOK OF UK’S NEW GLOBAL PRESCHOOL FOR ‘WORLD CLASS’ CHILDREN CAPTURED BY ROYAL FILMMAKER
Odyssey, the UK’s first global preschool for 0- to 5-year-olds, has revealed a first look inside its new £2m campus in London, a Grade II listed building in Marylebone.
The first of its kind campus promises a ‘limitless learning’ approach to preschool for parents who want their children to be curious, confident and empowered citizens of the world.
The site has been exclusively captured by Royal filmmaker, Will Warr, revealing the exquisite Reggio Emilia-inspired learning environments designed to encourage children’s learning as ‘the third teacher.’ Set across three floors and eight rooms, the unique setting allows children to move from the Atelier and Jam Studio with our Art and Music specialists, to an outdoor area with a ‘grow your own’ garden and climbing wall. In La Cucina, children will learn about, create and enjoy cuisine from across the world. Little minds will be fuelled with delicious organic dishes for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks, freshly prepared by the in-house chef, and all Startwell accredited.
Odyssey, which has seven award-winning campuses in Singapore and Malaysia, offers a bespoke curriculum for children aged 0-5 children, who will be supported by highly qualified ‘Curriculum Specialists’ with learning programmes split into three stages: Bambino Odyssey, Odyssey Toddlers and finally, Odyssey Preschool.
Languages, music, art and cooking all form part of the curriculum, alongside ‘stretchers’ – a key concept of the curriculum which uses storytelling and real-life experiences to make a child’s world bigger and stretch their imaginations. The school will open, staffed by a team of qualified and well-experienced early childhood educators from the Odyssey Singapore campuses and highly trained educators from the UK.
Filmmaker, Will Warr, said: “I felt incredibly privileged to have first access to Odyssey; the space is truly magical. The beauty of the buildings coupled with the expertly designed learning and development environment will enable children’s curiosity to run wild, little minds to light-up, and many adventures to be had in Odyssey’s classrooms. Odyssey really is a preschool incomparable to others.”
Angela Ang, Odyssey London’s Head of School comments: “We have a unique and unrivalled offering when it comes to the education of preschoolers, the £2 million investment in the campus ensures that every detail of each learning space has been meticulously crafted. With multiple rooms set across three floors, the one-of-a-kind campus allows us to teach children communication, collaboration, critical thinking and creativity, with learning based around each child’s own interests and pace. We are expecting Odyssey to be a popular addition to the preschool space, visits are booking up fast and applications are already being received. We’d encourage parents to secure their space today.”
The first UK Odyssey nursery and preschool will offer 106 places in London, Marylebone for children aged 0-5 with registrations open now for April 2025 enrolment.
