FIVE RIVERS RUM LAUNCHES POP UP BAR TO CELEBRATE DIWALI

Five Rivers, the world’s first dry Indian spiced white rum, will celebrate Diwali in London this October with a beautiful pop up bar and delicious culinary partnerships. Especially for the ‘festival of lights’, the bar will be adorned with festoon lighting, traditional brightly coloured Diwali lanterns, and candlelight. Bringing Londoners together to celebrate Diwali, the bar will feature five x Five Rivers signature cocktails – The Desi Daiquiri, Saffron & Black Pepper Negroni, Kulfi Colada, Punjabi Punch and Five Rivers & Tonic – along with South Asian inspired snacks, which perfectly pair.

With rum having soared in popularity over the last couple of years – the UK rum market has become the third largest rum market in the world – Five Rivers is on a mission to educate everyone on the spirit’s Indian heritage, which dates back as early as the 7th century. Refined from five generations of family rum production near Jalandhar in Northern Punjab and made with sugarcane traditionally grown on the Sanghera family’s farm, Five Rivers liquid is re-distilled with Indian spices and features a unique blend of cardamom, cassia, cloves, coriander and ginger.

Popping up in East London as part of London Cocktail Week 2022, the Five Rivers – Diwali Bar will be found in The Little Cocktail Village at Devonshire Square. Set within an 18th century warehouse and housed under a spectacular glass roof, the Five Rivers – Diwali bar is the perfect hangout spot to meet up with friends, with each Five Rivers cocktail priced at just £7 for London Cocktail Week. The bar will be the first time Five Rivers will debut its five signature serves all together and also the first time it will serve its Kulfi Colada, rum punch and Saffron Negroni to consumers.

The perfect rum to enjoy with South Asian dining, exclusively for London Cocktail Week, award-winning Sri Lankan restaurant Hoppers will host a special one-night-only takeover of the Five Rivers Diwali Bar to serve three delicious cocktails, one of which will be featured across all Hoppers sites during LCW: The Bengal Cooler made with Five Rivers Indian Spiced Rum topped with homemade chamomile cream soda and garnished with Banana Leaf and Alyssum Flower. Indian dining concept Cinnamon Group will also add a bespoke serve to its cocktail menus – The ‘Five-A Day’ – made with Five Rivers, spiced syrup, lemon juice, cardamom tincture and topped with soda which runs for the whole of October.

The Five Rivers – Diwali Bar will open from Thursday 13th October until Sunday 23rd October at London Cocktail Week 2022.
