Half of the Mercury Prize nominated punk duo Slaves, Laurie Vincent, will be publicly displaying his artworks for the first time since 2019. Come and meet the acclaimed musician and artist in person and take home one of his original artworks. The collection on show, entitled ‘It’s Been a Fever Dream’, brings together his introspective, humorous and poignant original drawings, many of which draw on his personal biography. The work offers the chance to gain a deeper insight into Vincent, whether a fan of his music or his art, plus he will be present at the fair to chat all about it.

Imagine, you go to an art fair, and come home with a tattoo…Renowned for her beautifully delicate fine line, single needle tattoos, London -based, tattoo artist Charlotte Mallory (@mallorycharlottetattoos) will be taking up residency at the Truman brewery this October. Charlotte’s interest in tattooing began whilst living in Berlin and embracing the music scene, she describes her work as being ‘about the art itself, and about using your body as a canvas’. SARAH ROBERTS INSTALLATION
Installation more your thing? Sarah Roberts will present an attention-grabbing landscape of carefully curated yellows, a project initiated to record the epic clearing out of her late mother’s seaside bungalow. Marking the first London exhibition of this work since Covid-19, ‘Everything’s Mustard’ is a must-see colour archive which examines the strange impulse to collect or hoard that many of us experience – whether it’s a stamp collection from your childhood or a row of empty wine bottles on top of the fridge. Living and working between Leeds and Cardiff, Roberts is an innovative artist worth keeping an eye on.
THE OTHER ART STORE
Run out of wall space? No problem. This October, The Other Art Fair are launching their first ever The Other Art Store in collaboration with the great emerging talents on show. Alongside taking home paintings and prints, for the first time ever, visitors can also buy t-shirts and tote bags designed by a selection of the exhibiting artists.
EVE DE HAAN’S SELF HELP BAR AND NAIL ART SALON
The artist behind the instagram @halfaroastchicken, Eve De Haan has created two immersive experiences for The Other Art Fair that bring positivity to everyday spaces. Her nail bar entrance installation takes ‘nail ART’ to a whole new level. As you enter the fair, whether in need of a manicure or not, you will be immersed in a pink neon haze and flooded with positive affirmations that have been plastered across the walls. Spaces of femineity, beauty and self-care, Eve celebrates the ‘nail bar’ as a place where woman come together, relax and support one another. Then in the centre of the art fair, visit the self-help bar, a totally new concept unique for this edition. Decorated with affirmations and self-help books that you can pick up and read, the bar is designed to give positivity and hope to all those who visit.
The Other Art Fair has created something different, combining affordable art with unforgettable experiences, with editions now in London, Brooklyn, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, Sydney, and Melbourne. Hailed as ‘the future of art’ by The Guardian, The Other Art Fair will delight and inspire visitors with its diverse and immersive programme that has previously included interactive taxidermy classes, immersive dining, charity collaborations, installations, workshops, and a colourful line-up of renowned Guest Artists. If you’re looking for unusual encounters, this one’s for you.
