In the lead up to what will be a once-in-a-generation celebration, the bustling streets of Fleet Street Quarter will celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III by hosting its first ever ‘BIG Picnic’ on Wednesday 3 and Thursday 4 May, from 12pm-4pm.

Fleet Street Quarter’s Carter Lane, Bream’s Buildings and Gough Square will host a series of lively outdoor celebrations guaranteed to inject a bit of fun into the lunchbreaks of workers and visitors, and get them into the Coronation spirit with food, fun and festivities.
The floral theme of Fleet Street Quarter’s BIG Picnic, which is inspired by the gardens of Highgrove and in honour of King Charles III’s admiration of wildflowers, will spotlight King Charles III’s most favourite blooms and create a quintessentially British summertime atmosphere ahead of the big day. Visitors will also walk away with their very own wildflower seeds to help bring the beauty of English gardens and agriculture a little closer to home.

Whether it’s a packed lunch or a bite to eat from one of the many cafes and restaurants across the area, local workers and visitors from across London can expect to find the perfect lunch spot where they can enjoy a relaxed outdoor picnic amongst community, colleagues and friends.
If that wasn’t enough, the al fresco style dining arrangements, limited-time ‘Picnic Promotions’ at participating lunch vendors and the series of floral art projects for everyone to get involved in are guaranteed to spread Coronation cheer throughout the Fleet Street Quarter – more details to be announced!
