The one-in-a-billion, VVVIP Gold Card will entitle the lucky winner and 11 of their friends to free Social Darts at Flight Club for life.
MORE PRIZES ALONG THE WAY
The big trip and Social Darts for life aren’t the only things up for grabs. From today, as the countdown to a billion truly kicks off, every Flight Club venue across the UK will be surprising and delighting guests with daily treats, from complimentary drinks to bar tabs.
LONDON’S SOCIALISING HABITS REVEALED
Over the last decade, having hosted more than 14.4 million people across 12 different cities in the UK alone, Flight Club knows a thing or two about the nation’s socialising habits. As the billion darts mark approaches, today the Social Darts bar releases its inaugural Flight Club Social Index, revealing the lay of the land when it comes to going out and getting competitive.
The Index, based on Flight Club’s proprietary booking and gaming data, reveals some surprising insights into the socialising styles of the UK’s key cities, including London. The results for the capital highlight a city of true night owls and mid-week masters, with Londoners leading the country for Tuesday-to-Thursday get-togethers and proving that the post-work social remains a vital part of the city’s DNA.
The Competition Kings:
In a surprising twist, London has been named only ninth in the UK’s competitiveness rankings. Clocking in at 342 darts per hour per venue, Londoners are falling significantly behind the likes of Bristol, which takes the crown with over 400 darts thrown per hour, and Cheltenham in third. It seems the capital’s players are taking a far more relaxed approach to their Social Darts game; if London wants to climb the leaderboards and truly compete with the West Country powerhouses, it’s time to pick up the pace.
The Late-Night Legends:
When it comes to the UK’s true night owls, London holds its own, placing third in the Late-Night Legends rankings for bookings after 10 pm. While Bristol and Cheltenham take the first and second spots respectively, Londoners prove they are still more than happy to keep the party going into the early hours. In contrast, Manchester guests top the Early Birds list for most bookings pre-5 pm and Newcastle is named second in the Home-by-10-Heroes category for most bookings between 5-8 pm.
The Mid-Week Masters:
London leads the charge for Tuesday-to-Thursday get-togethers, with Bristol in second place. Clearly, Londoners don’t let a little thing like work the next day get in the way of a good time, frequently heading to the oche to break up the working week. Conversely, Liverpudlians prefer to save their energy for the weekend, placing bottom of the rankings.
The Work Hard, Play Hard Champions
London has secured the silver medal in the “Work Hard, Play Hard” category, boasting the second-highest percentage of bookings between 5-7 pm, Monday to Friday. Beaten only by Newcastle to the top spot, the capital proves that a post-work social is a vital part of London life. In Liverpool, however, there are no blurred lines between work and play; the city places twelfth, preferring to wait until the weekend to kick off the party.
The Social Butterflies:
Brummies are revealed as the most sociable bunch in the UK, boasting the largest group sizes for their Flight Club get-togethers. London holds a respectable middle-ground, ranking fifth in the category, proving that while the capital loves a crowd, they often prefer a more curated squad compared to Birmingham’s bigger groups. At the other end of the spectrum, Liverpool takes the bottom spot, with guests there opting for the most intimate social circles in the country.
London’s Favourite Game:
In London, and across every single UK city in fact, Demolition is revealed as Flight Club’s most-played game of the year. The fast-paced game sees players aim to demolish a virtual tower of blocks, reducing their score from 180 to zero. It’s one of seven games in total at Flight Club, including the brand-new Limbo, where, like the classic party game, players must go lower than the previous player.
The Social Super Stars:
Every city has its stand-out-stars but it’s Sven S who takes the top spot for London in the Social Super Stars, clocking up 59 visits to Flight Club. Manchester’s Ben W is crowned the nation’s most dedicated player, with an impressive 79 visits.
Steve Moore, CEO & Founder at Flight Club, said, ”Reaching one billion darts is a massive moment for us. It’s a testament to every single guest who has stepped up to the oche to celebrate, compete, and have fun. We wanted to mark this with something truly epic – a trip to a Flight Club destination of your choice and free darts for life feels like the right way to thank the people who made this possible. We’ll be celebrating every single throw as we head towards the big one, and we can’t wait to see which city ends up claiming the honour of the billionth dart.”
