A keen football fan from near Waltham Cross has won the £2M jackpot on The National Lottery Gold Scratchcard after buying one ‘on a whim’ when out with his colleagues.
Talking about his win, he said, “I feel like I am one of the luckiest people in the world, I know that there are millions of people playing these games. I only usually buy a couple of Scratchcards a month, so this is remarkable – I believe this is a truly a gift from god.”
Now celebrating his life-changing win, the winner plans to use the money to take lots of lovely holidays, buy a holiday home, a new car, and have an unlimited shopping spree in Primark.
Dean O’Field, Winners’ Advisor at Allwyn, operator of The National Lottery, congratulated the couple, saying, “Congratulations to our lucky Waltham Cross winner. Winning £2M is truly lifechanging, and we’re delighted to hear that the winnings will give him such exciting plans for the future. We hope he enjoys his shopping spree in Primark!”
The National Lottery £2 Million Gold Scratchcard costs £5, and the odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.15.
