Frameless introduces debut solo show from acclaimed digital artist Cem Hasimi
Previewing on 4th August, at Frameless’ first Lates event, digital artist Cem Hasimi will take up a month-long residency at London’s largest permanent immersive art experience. Hasimi’s work will be featured alongside award-winning digital re-imaginations of masterpieces, from renowned artists such as Van Gogh and Rachael Ruysch.
The show will see 12 of Hasimi’s captivating works projected throughout Blank Canvas, Frameless’ fifth multi-sensory gallery space. These will include ‘The Hole’, his acclaimed piece that was recently projected onto Times Square NYC in collaboration with Artcrush Gallery.
With roots in Turkey and now based in London, Hasimi’s art is driven by his personal experiences, emotions, and observations, aiming to inspire joy and ignite curiosity. Using vibrant digital colour, he delivers an experience as Instagrammable as it is introspective.
Spotlighting a few stand-out works: ‘The Ego’ delves into the artist’s internal battle with his ego, showcasing rhythmic animations and curiously exploring emotions relatable for all ages; as also examined in ‘Hate, Love, Anger’. ‘Dreams’ is a captivating journey into the realm of imagination, where wonders and mysteries unfold. This work in particular leads youthful spirits and older souls alike to unlock their own creative perception of the world, and to embark on an enchanting exploration at Frameless.
Richard Relton, CEO Frameless said: “We are delighted to introduce Cem as our first Blank Canvas residency this August. These new shows will make use of our technological capabilities to both introduce visitors to emerging digital talent and innovation within the arts community, but also to play a part in helping artists like Cem achieve their creative goals.”
