Free “fakeaway” pop-up to be hosted by Isaac Carew at BOXPARK Shoreditch
Professional chef and model, Isaac Carew, is on a mission to prove that healthy home cooking doesn’t have to be boring or time consuming.
The ‘Fast Foodie’ pop-up, in collaboration with Ninja Kitchen UK, will be open for walk-ins from midday on Saturday 2 July at BOXPARK in London’s Shoreditch.
Lovers of the brand’s easy-to-use appliances can look forward to tasting healthier variations of fakeaway recipes, cooked in the Ninja Foodi MAX Dual Zone Air Fryer, Ninja Foodi MAX Pro Health Grill, Ninja Foodi MAX 15-in-1 SmartLid Multi-Cooker and Ninja Creami Ice Cream & Frozen Dessert Maker.
If that isn’t enough, customers can also enter into a prize draw to win one of thirty Ninja appliances, worth up to £299 each! – enabling them to re-create the fakeaway dishes from the comfort of their own home.
The menu features tantalising twists on traditional takeaways, including Kimchi Beef Burgers, Vegan Buffalo Cauliflower Bites, Chicken Tinga Tacos, Spicy Halloumi Fries, Salted Chocolate Fudge Ice Cream and Vegan Raspberry Ice Cream.
Food is limited1, so those keen to get their hands (and mouths) on a bite to eat are strongly advised to arrive as early as possible to avoid missing out.2
Selfie-takers can also pose in front of a dedicated foliage-covered photo wall for an Instagrammable snap worthy of the main grid.
The pop-up follows new research3 commissioned by Ninja Kitchen UK, revealing that nearly half of Brits (49%) eat takeaway food up to four times a week, with adults under 25 spending on average a whopping £43 on deliveries and fast-food each week (up to £2,580 a year).
Despite this, the findings show that Brits are increasingly concerned about the cost of deliveries and fast-food. As the cost-of-living soars, almost half (46%) said that fast food is too expensive, despite nearly a third (30%) spending more on takeaways now compared to pre-pandemic.
Through the pop-up, Ninja Kitchen UK is inspiring consumers to recreate healthier versions of their favourite takeaway meals quickly and easily at home, without compromising on taste.
Those wishing to do so, can download recipes from the exclusive pop-up menu on Ninja Kitchen’s recipe website, Cooking Circle.
Isaac Carew, Ninja Kitchen UK Ambassador said: “There’s nothing better than good food done well, so when Ninja Kitchen UK invited me to host their Fast Foodi pop-up, I knew I couldn’t say no.
“I have always said that ‘dirty’ food doesn’t have to be unhealthy for you, which is why I love that Ninja is recreating fakeaways in the hope that they will encourage Brits to try something new in the kitchen. Food that’s better for you, saves money and doesn’t compromise on taste… what’s not to love?”
Jess Levy, SharkNinja Vice President of Marketing EU said: “It’s been fascinating to see what the nation’s fast-food habits are! Frequently eating fast food is clearly a habit that lots of people want to break, which is why we’re on a mission to prove that healthy cooking doesn’t have to be boring or time consuming – like many people think!
“Ninja Kitchen’s range of appliances make it quick and easy to prepare delicious, healthy food, whether you’re cooking for yourself, entertaining friends, or feeding a hungry family. We hope that our research findings shine a light on the benefits of home cooking and inspire people to try it themselves.”
