FREE PET WORKSHOPS FOR CHILDREN AT PETS AT HOME
School’s finally out, signalling the return of the FREE My Pet Pals workshops at Pets at Home!
During the summer holidays, children are invited to their local Pet Care Centre to take part in these interactive sessions, where they can enjoy a variety of free activities, including completing a pocketbook full of fun tasks, collecting a different sticker each week, and learning the five welfare needs of pets through themed workshops. Kids will also have the chance to meet some of the friendly animals and learn how to care for them responsibly with the help of our Pet Experts.
At the end of each interactive session, children will receive a My Pet Pals certificate, a sticker, and work toward earning a special badge – all completely free!
These free 45-minute pet workshops are taking place every day at 2pm, in most of the 450-plus Pet Care Centres across the UK:
· Saturday 5th July to Sunday 17th August – Scotland and Northern Ireland.
· Saturday 19th July to Sunday 31st August – England and Wales.
Dr Samantha Butler-Davies MRCVS Veterinary Services Director at Pets at Home said: “My Pet Pals workshops are here again for the summer holidays! These free interactive sessions offer children the chance to learn how to care for small animals, with the help of our knowledgeable in-store Pet Experts. Over the years, more than 500,000 kids have taken part in the My Pet Pals programme, highlighting our dedication to educating the next generation about responsible pet ownership.”
