FREE SUMMER RAINFOREST FUN AT 17 & CENTRAL

This summer 17 & Central will be hosting six weeks of rainforest-themed craft activities. The activities, which are based on endangered animals from the Amazon, will run every Saturday and Sunday of the school holidays from 27 July until 1 September.

Set against a brightly coloured Amazon backdrop, each week will feature a different animal and includes endangered species such as the jaguar, poison dart frog, dwarf sloth, spider monkey, hyacinth macaw and pink river dolphin.

The Rainforest crafting will take place in the Centre Court from 11am-4pm and is free of charge, although 17 & Central will be using this opportunity to raise money for new charity partner, The Together Project – a national organisation that connects generations through joy-filled community activities.

Speaking about the summer activities, 17 & Central’s Marketing Manager, Gwendolyne Lobo, said: “We’re always looking for educational yet fun events to occupy the children over the holidays and our previous animal activity was a huge hit with the kids. This year, we’ve chosen a rainforest rescue theme as we wanted to spread awareness about endangered animals and what we can do to save them, while still delivering a big helping of fun.

“Last year’s Six Flags Summer activity was well attended and we’re hoping to see lots of school children joining in over the holidays.”

17 & Central’s Rainforest will officially open on Saturday 27 July at 11am.
