Free tattoos and steak sandwiches at THIS™ tattoo parlour pop-up in Kentish Town

If you’ve ever wanted a tattoo and 100% plant steak sandwich at the same time, THIS™ has got you covered. Introducing the ‘A Delicious Misteak Tattoo Parlour’, a one day takeover of Flamin’ Eight, a proudly vegan tattoo parlour. The concept is simple: walk in, pick from a selection of cowboy-themed flash tattoos, and leave with fresh ink and a delicious THIS™ steak sandwich in hand.

The pop up takes place at London tattoo parlour, Flamin’ Eight on Saturday 16th May from 11:30-4pm. Every tattoo drawn on the day will be free and it’s strictly first come, first-inked. You’ll be choosing from a curated selection of designs, created exclusively for the event. Walk-ins are welcome, but you’ll need to arrive early to secure a free tat. Steak sandwiches will be served all day long though. Plus, for any die-hard fans of the brand they’ll have the opportunity to pick a THIS™ logo. A misteak absolutely worth making.

The pop-up takes place at London tattoo parlour Flamin’ Eight, and walk-ins are welcome – but you’ll need to get there early. The iconic studio is vegan friendly and uses vegan inks, aftercare creams and the soaps on people’s skin.

While the artists are tattooing, THIS™ Fillet Steaks will be sizzling. Free 100% plant steak sandwiches will be available to everyone, those getting inked and anyone passing by the tattoo parlour and food truck. The star of the sandwich is THIS™ new 100% plant Fillet Steak, a juicy, tender cut that packs 31g of protein per steak…yeehaw!

So why cowboys, and what’s all this about a ‘misteak’ you ask? Well, the pop-up is part of the brand’s ‘A Delicious Misteak’ campaign, which follows a meat eating cowboy, who has just eaten a THIS™ 100% plant steak by mistake, and loved every single bite of it. THIS™ produced a full cinematic country and western music video to tell his story, complete with a slow-motion fall to his knees, and a lot of beautifully sizzling steak footage. Watch this space for the music video!

The campaign is built around the idea that the most compelling advocates for plant-based food are those who never expected to like it, the campaign playfully dramatises the moment of accidental discovery – when a “mistake” turns out to be a good one. To bring it to life on the ground, THIS™ is opening its ‘A Delicious Misteak Tattoo Parlour’, and it is exactly as it sounds. Fans of tattoos, plant-based steak or both, can walk in and choose from a bespoke selection of tattoos, completely free of charge. Finally, a misteak they won’t regret, unlike an ex’s name tattooed on their wrist!

The pop-up A Delicious Misteak Tattoo Parlour runs on 16th May at Flamin’ Eight, Kentish Town, London and the tattoos are first come, first served*.
