To celebrate Earth Day, Uber Boat by Thames Clippers is giving customers who enter its #GlideGreen competition the chance to win free River Bus tickets for the rest of the week.

From Tuesday 22 April to Monday 28 April 2025 inclusive, passengers can win prizes in a competition launched to promote sustainable travel by sharing their Uber Boat by Thames Clippers journey on Instagram, capturing the best, most unique views of the city as they glide along the river.

The river Thames is central to London’s transport network, with Uber Boat by Thames Clippers at the forefront of providing an innovative and sustainable travel option. The River Bus service aims to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050 and continues to expand its fleet with zero-emission and hybrid vessels, including the 100% electric cross-river ferry – Orbit Clipper – due to be launched later this year.
To take part in the #GlideGreen giveaway, UK residents aged 18 and over must:

Travel with Uber Boat by Thames Clippers during the giveaway period
Post a photo or video from their journey on their Instagram feed
Tag @thamesclippers and include the hashtag #GlideGreen
The first 50 valid entries will each receive a promotional code for a free single journey, provided via Instagram DM. All valid entries will also be entered into a prize draw to win a monthly season ticket, perfect for regular river commuters or those who wish to explore London from the river.
