German Doner Kebab and SE Dons joined forces at the weekend to host a festive football-themed charity event.

The UK’s fastest-growing restaurant chain partnered with the London Sunday League football club to raise money for local children’s hospice, Demelza.

The Dons faced off against Hatch Lane Utd in the London Cup fixture on Sunday at Footscray Rugby Club with attendees bringing along donations for the charity.

At halftime, fans joined the players in showing off their skills by partaking in the Christmas Football challenge, shooting their shot in the ‘GDK Boss Box’ net, and winning fantastic prizes like GDK vouchers and exclusive SE Dons Merchandise.

Hundreds of pounds were raised by generous fans on the day. The fundraising total was then increased by a whopping £10,000 donation gift to Demelza from the Sarwar Foundation on behalf of German Doner Kebab.

The SE Dons Sunday League team has an international following, with the core team made up of various internet celebrities, including founder and renowned grime artist, Don Strapzy, and Soccer AM regular, Big G.
