This October, Merlin Entertainments is bringing some fang-tastic family fun to London. From the South Bank to Baker Street, the five London attractions will offer guests a huge range of activities for adventure seekers big and small to get stuck into.

From spooky surgeons to wicked witches, sensational sights and celebrity selfies, Merlin’s London attractions have something for everyone to enjoy this half term.

SEA LIFE London Aquarium: Spooky Stories

Running from 23rd to 31st October, SEA LIFE London Aquarium’s Spooky Stories invites you to brave the legends of the deep and dive into the frightful underwater world. But be warned, you better be prepared to come across myths of the sea that will have your fins tingling. Uncover the stories around mystical sea-witches, the ferocious Kraken, ghostly Antarctic explorers and mysterious shipwrecks, all while coming face-to-fin with more than 5,000 fang-tastic creatures. There is so much more to discover throughout the rest of the attraction too, from the Shark Walk to Rock Pool Explorer and don’t forget to visit the new additions to Penguin Point, Raducanu and Gilbert.

The lastminute.com London Eye

This October the award-winning London Eye River Cruise has teamed up with Beefeater Gin to reveal the spooky side of the capital with a spine-tingling cruise experience, complete with beastly beverages. The 40-minute circular Spooky Sailing sightseeing tour will offer live commentary by expert guides on the dark history of the River Thames and its landmarks. Ghoulish stories will feature famous sights en route, including the Houses of Parliament, St Paul’s Cathedral, Tower of London, Shakespeare’s Globe and Tower Bridge.

To make the cruise even more memorable, Beefeater Gin has curated a choice of two special edition warming hot spiced gin drinks for the spooky season, featuring Beefeater Blood Orange Gin and Beefeater Pink Gin. The drinks will provide the perfect accompaniment to fire up the Halloween festivities with the Spirit of London as they take in the tales of the river.

Sailings run at 6pm every day from Saturday 23rd October – Sunday 31st October and tickets are priced at £20 per adult and £15 per child with children under 3 going free. One Beefeater Gin drink (or soft drink) is included per person to enjoy during the 40-minute circular tour which departs from and returns to the London Eye pier.

Shrek’s Adventure! London

The residents of Shrek’s Adventure! London are celebrating Halloween this half term but no need to get scared Shrekless! A clumsy witch from Far, Far Away has crash landed in London and needs guests’ help to find all of her dropped belongings in time for Halloween.

Pick up a trail card from the entrance and keep your eyes open for the spooky items before you board the magic bus. Then hand your list to the witch for a special treat from her spooky cauldron after your tour of Far, Far Away.

Madame Tussauds London

Just in time for October half term and ahead of the much-anticipated release of No Time to Die, the 25th film in the James Bond franchise, Madame Tussauds London has announced the return of all six of the actors’ figures who have played the legendary British Spy. The killer line-up of Craig, Connery, Lazenby, Moore, Dalton and Brosnan will cause quite the stir in the attraction as Madame Tussauds London becomes the only place to see all the Bonds at once.

But it’s not just 007 you can visit this October, guests can also check out all the other world famous figures Madame Tussauds London has to offer including this year’s new additions to the line-up. Music icon Stormzy takes pride of place in the attraction’s Culture Zone, while pop superstars Little Mix take centre-stage in a recreation of their iconic Bounce Back video.

The London Dungeon: The Surgeon

At the home of Halloween, The London Dungeon is pulling out all the scream-inducing stops this year to create a truly terrifying experience for anyone ready to test their mettle and explore London’s darkest history during this scary season.

Running from the 9th – 31st October, The London Dungeon’s brand-new show, The Surgeon, will dive deep into the devilish practice of surgery in the Victorian era. From the gallery, guests will join an old operating theatre and watch through gritted teeth as the surgeon – reeking of rotting flesh and wearing a blood-soaked apron, will carry out his work with frightening fervour as he cuts and chops his way through the horrendous history of Victorian age surgery with stomach churning sound effects and no anaesthetic.
