Residents and guests at Peony Court care home in 58, Addiscombe Road, Croydon, enjoyed a night of grins with an in-house gin tasting that took place at the home. Sampling from a selection of 14 different gins, residents were able to try the different flavours from both British gins and international brands while learning about the different notes and blends, including floral and fruity distils, to zesty, bitter and earthy combinations.

Gin was provided by the home’s activities team who created an enjoyable and social experience for residents and guests to explore new flavours and share their favourites. The hospitality team at the home provided a spread of sweet and savoury treats to compliment the gin selection.

General Manager, Charles, said, “Our residents and guests had a wonderful day learning everything they could about gin. We do our best to provide a wide range of activities and entertainment at Peony Court as part of the lifestyle enrichment programme for residents, and this was one of our favourites!”

One resident said “We had lots of fun trying all of the different gins, my favourite was definitely the elderflower and citrus blend, it was delicious!”
