London Livery building provides multi-sensory musical experience

In conjunction with Fever, Glaziers Hall, the Livery building based on the South Bank in London, will become host to four classical candlelight concerts for the first time on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 September.

With tickets starting from £20, those attending will have access to the beautifully renovated Arches Bar, showcasing original stonework and modern, contemporary design, before heading to the exquisite Banqueting Hall, complete with crystal chandeliers and elaborate drapes.

The first performance from 6.30pm on Saturday 24 will feature string quartet, Artisti Con Brio. Playing pieces from Mozart Requiem, the programme will include Dies Irae, Tuba Mirum, Rex Tremendae, Confutatis, Lacrymosa, Sanctus, Agnus Dei and Diverimento in D Major K.136.

The second performance, also delivered by Artisti Con Brio, will take place from 8.30pm, sharing music from Vivaldi – The Four Seasons, creating a multisensory musical experience for the audience to enjoy.

On Sunday 25 there will be a further two performances featuring Caccini Quartet and City String Ensemble. The first will take place at 7pm, with a second session following at 9pm. The programme will include Cinema Paradiso Theme, Gabriel’s Oboe, The Ecstasy of Gold, Cinema Paradiso and Pirates of the Caribbean Medley – Klaus Badelt and Hans Zimmer.

General Manager of Glaziers Hall, Will Simmonds, comments: “Glaziers Hall is the perfect setting for a sensory musical experience by candlelight. The building, with its historic charm and state-of-the-art facilities, is the ideal setting.

“You just have to walk into the Arches to get a sense of wonderment and the grandeur of the Banqueting Hall really does set the tone for these events.

“We would encourage anyone that would like to come along to book tickets early to avoid disappointment. As this is the first time we have hosted this type of event, we are expecting a great deal of interest.”

Glaziers Hall has seven unique spaces available, with capacity for up to 450 guests. The building can be hired exclusively, or clients can choose one of the seven event spaces to meet with their specific requirements.
