Smeg, the iconic Italian appliance brand, is excited to announce the launch of its ice cream
maker attachment. The attachment, which can be added on to any of the brand’s range of
stand mixers, allows consumers to prepare their favourite refreshing summer desserts, such as
ice cream, sorbet and frozen yoghurt, at home. No need to nip out to the supermarket or
chase down the local ice cream man!

Designed to perfectly fit into Smeg’s stand mixer steel bowls, the Italian made attachment
provides up to 1.1 litres of finished product – ready to eat in around 30 minutes. With its cold,
double wall cooling system, the maker keeps a -10°C temperature at all times. Fun for all the
family, making ice cream at home allows you to create a healthy sweat treat, avoiding
additives often found in shop bought ice cream.

Alongside the SMIC01 ice cream maker you can also purchace the SMIC02 – an optional
attachment which allows the consumer to prepare a second flavour of ice cream or dessert at
the same time. This is perfect for those who have to alter the ingredients for allergy reasons,
or please the pickiest of easters.

The new ice cream maker attachment is the latest addition to Smeg’s SDA (small domestic
appliance) range, which includes kettles, toasters, blenders and coffee machines.
