Goat Big or Go Home: The Lucky Goat to Open on Bread Street This Spring!

A new competitive socialising venue – The Lucky Goat – will open this April at 1 Bread Street, EC4M 9BE, in the heart of the City of London, just steps away from St Paul’s Cathedral.

Positioned as a modern local for central London, The Lucky Goat combines high-energy social gaming with a substantial food and drink programme, creating a venue perfect for repeat visits as much as one-off celebrations.

The drinks menu at The Lucky Goat puts the classics front and centre. Each cocktail is carefully made to show why these favourites have stood the test of time, using top-shelf spirits and thoughtful techniques. Alongside a curated wine list and cold draught beer, the bar offers a place to linger, celebrate and enjoy drinks that never go out of style.

Guests can take on friends, family and colleagues across a stellar line-up of competitive games including tech darts, karaoke, tech shuffleboard, pool and air hockey. Two dedicated gaming zones sit at the centre of the space, offering flexibility for different group sizes and occasions. Zones can be booked individually, combined for larger parties, incorporated into wider group bookings, or included as part of an exclusive private hire.

The food also plays a leading role in the overall offering, with the menu focusing on gourmet hot sandwiches, elevated bar snacks, and generous sharing platters designed with groups in mind.

Throughout the week, The Lucky Goat is designed to adapt to its audience. From Monday to Friday, the focus is on after-work drinks, corporate socials, and client hosting, providing City workers with a vibrant but welcoming space to unwind. At weekends, the energy shifts towards birthdays, celebrations and group nights out, supported by a DJ and a curated music programme that forms a key part of the venue’s lively entertainment offering.

Paul Delfgou – founder and CEO of The Lucky Goat – said: “This is a hugely exciting opening for us. We wanted to create something that feels like a modern local for the City; somewhere you can drop in for a great sandwich and a perfectly made cocktail just as easily as you can book in for darts or karaoke.

“Competitive socialising doesn’t have to be corporate and formulaic. Sure, we’ve brought all of the best bar games together in one place, but you’ll be just as happy coming here for the music, drinks, and food because they’ll all stand on their own merits.

“Being on Bread Street, so close to St Paul’s Cathedral, gives us the perfect home to build a venue that works just as well for after-work drinks and corporate socials as it does for birthdays and big weekend celebrations.”
