GRAB YOUR FINGERBOARDS AND GET READY TO SHOW OFF YOUR SICK TRICKS AT THE TECH DECK GAMES
The most famous multi-sport event is just around the corner, but you don’t have to go to Paris to battle it out for Gold, Silver or Bronze this summer as Tech Deck, the O.G. fingerboarding brand is giving competitors the opportunity to show off their sick flips and tricks at the Tech Deck Games.
The battle is on as during the last hour of the drop in, those who are up for a challenge and feel their skills are medal worthy, will take to the Tech Deck ramps and compete in the UK’s first Tech Deck Games. Competitors will show off their best flips and tricks using provided Tech Deck boards at Hop King skatepark, in the heart of London. On hand will be Team GB skateboarder, Alex DeCunha, who will adjudicate the competition before deciding who of the competitors will win Gold, Silver or Bronze.
Not only that, Alex will perform a live demo on the day, which is sure to have everyone in awe of his skills, whilst Team Rubicon, the UK’s biggest provider of skateboard lessons, will be at Hop King to host drop-in skate sessions throughout the day too.
The event is taking place ahead of the launch of Tech Deck’s Olympic product range which will hit shelves from May 2024. The new range will include updated boards and three new ramp playsets which have all been endorsed by Olympic athletes including, teenage sensation & Olympic Medallist, Sky Brown, member of the SLS “9 Club”, Shane O’Neil and World Champion, Aurélien Giraud.
Richard Dickson, General Manager UK & ROI at Spin Master, said, “Tech Deck are pioneers when it comes to championing skateboarding and we are very excited to be bringing the first ever Tech Deck Games to the masses. The Tech Deck Games will also help celebrate the launch of our new Olympic range which has the backing of some of the biggest names in the sport.
“The Tech Deck Games is a fantastic opportunity for everyone to get involved and try their hand at fingerboarding and we’re delighted to have Alex DeCunah and Team Rubicon onboard to help judge the competition and offer live demonstrations to the attendees.”
Fingerboard afficionados will be able to battle it out to become the first UK’s first Tech Deck Gold medallist at Hop King on Saturday 11th May. To book your place in the Tech Deck games, [email protected].
