Grand Trunk Road Launch New À La Carte Menu for 2023

Instrumental in the rise of Michelin-starred Indian food establishments, Rajesh Suri is one of the most acclaimed restaurateurs in the UK. A regular on MasterChef: The Professionals and the winner of the BIBA, Restaurateurs Restaurant and Personality of the Year awards, his multi-award-winning eatery, South Woodford’s Grand Trunk Road, are celebrating 2023 with a brand new À La Carte offering.

Setting the bar for pairing exquisite food with a warm and always elegant atmosphere, Rajesh has gone even further into the sumptuous mysteries of historical Indian recipes to introduce a new level of luxury fare to the London fine dining scene.
Garnered from regions along India’s legendary trade route, new delights from the menu include Soft shell crab, dusted with semolina and Tellicherry black pepper with pickling yoghurt dip, Slow-cooked lamb shank in a mild aromatic sauce from the Royal kitchen of Lucknow, Zucchini dumplings stuffed with golden sultana and dried melon seeds, Mango Brûlée with ajwain biscuits and Spiced poached pear in red wine.

The restaurant is also making it deliciously easy to keep any New Year’s resolutions in check, with a host vegan dishes such as the Baby okra with vinegar and beetroot-soaked silver onion and ground spices, as well as non-alcoholic cocktails to complement their fragrant list.

Their unsurpassed reputation for beautiful dishes that have been prepared with traditional cooking methods has seen them receive the Michelin plaque for 2022 and inclusion in the official guide since 2018.
