Great British Game Week: British Game Assurance Announce ‘Glorious Game’ Event

British Game Assurance (BGA) is delighted to announce a ‘Glorious Game’ event as part of the annual #GreatBritishGameWeek, 7th-13th November 2022. Taking place at the Holland & Holland shooting grounds on 12th November, and hosted by restaurant critic, broadcaster, and author, William Sitwell, the event is set to include a day of shooting, dining and celebration with an all-star cast of celebrated game chefs.
William Sitwell, Restaurant Critic, Broadcaster and Author said “Cooking with and eating game isn’t just a sensible, sustainable and natural way of life, it’s a delicious, exciting approach to food with endless and wonderful possibilities. I wish more of us could understand and share this great source of nutrition and pleasure, so I’m delighted that BGA are championing game with the help of Eat Wild; they are the invaluable go-to people for stockists and fabulous ideas.”

Great British Game Week is a celebration of enjoying wild game, promoted by BGA’s Eat Wild campaign.

The week-long promotion will be a focus for events, dinners and special offers promoting game to consumers around the country. People will be encouraged to taste game for the first time and try new game products such as pies, sausages, burgers, and charcuterie.
The Game Week finale will be BGA stockist Holland & Holland’s ‘Glorious Game’ event, which will be hosted by William Sitwell in aid of the Country Food Trust. The event includes a morning of simulated game shooting followed by a twelve-course tasting menu with wine pairing. BGA Ambassador Chef Leon Challis-Davies will join Holland & Holland Head Chef, Joshua Hunter, Michelin-starred Mark Kempson and Celebrity Chef Valentine Warner to produce an exquisite tasting banquet, with all game at the event being BGA Assured.

Louisa Clutterbuck, Director of Operations at British Game Assurance said, “We are delighted to finally be able to celebrate during Great British Game Week at some fantastic establishments, after two tough years at home. By hosting events in both Scotland and England, we hope to reach as many new people as possible and share the delights of eating and cooking British game meat.”
