Pub company and brewer Greene King has unveiled the first in its fleet of sports branded vehicles, in show of support for the Women’s Euros squad.

When it comes to perception of the women’s team, data reveals men are more likely to have heard of female players than women. When questioned, 43% of women said they couldn’t name a single female player, compared to 31% of men.

To shift perceptions and bolster support, the new branded vehicles are the latest in Greene King’s ongoing commitment to championing women’s sports having pledged earlier this year to show the Women’s Super League plus all of the Women’s Euros games in their sports pubs across the UK.

The first vehicle to take to the street is a 26-tonne rigid lorry, pictured making its first delivery to the Five Bells pub in Finchley this week.

What’s more, to give fans even more to shout about during the semi final on Tuesday night, Greene King is also launching a holiday prize draw worth £3,000.

For the duration of the match, any customer in a Greene King sports pub who scans the unique 10% off drinks code on the Season Ticket app will be automatically entered in with a chance of winning a £3,000 holiday voucher, valid on a number of major providers including Jet2, TUI and more.

The season ticket app, which gives users access to a range of unique offers and discounts, is available to download via the Apple store here or the Google store here.

Former England player Rachel Yankey commented, “The current squad has already broken some incredible records over the last few games, and I have no doubt that they’re going to continue to do so. It’s so encouraging to see the support building as we progress to the final stages of the tournament.
