On Monday, 29 September 2025, Jeff Wayne’s The War of The Worlds: The Immersive Experience will officially enter the history books as a Guinness World Record holder for the longest theatrical run of an immersive theatre production — with more than 31,000 performances (and counting) since its launch in 2019.

Created by immersive specialists Layered Reality in partnership with legendary composer Jeff Wayne and executive producer Damian Collier, this groundbreaking experience combines live actors, virtual reality, holograms, 5D effects, and an epic soundscape across 24 scenes, bringing Wayne’s iconic musical version of H.G. Wells’ classic novel vividly to life.

As one of the very first truly original immersive productions, The War of The Worlds: The Immersive Experience has defined London’s entertainment landscape and remains the UK’s longest-running theatrical and multi-media immersive experience.
