Hakkasan Marks Golden Week with a Modern Cantonese Celebration of Family and Culture
Hakkasan Mayfair is delighted to announce the launch of a limited-edition menu to celebrate Golden Week, available exclusively from 1st to 7th October 2025.
Golden Week is one of China’s most significant holidays, marking a time for family reunions, travel and celebration. As a global leader in Chinese cuisine, Hakkasan marks Golden Week with modern Cantonese flair, paying tribute to heritage and acknowledging it as a period for family reunion and cultural enjoyment.
In Mandarin, Golden Week is written as 黄金周 (huáng jīn zhōu), with “黄” (huáng) meaning yellow and “金” (jīn) meaning gold or golden. Each dish is inspired by the season and the theme of “gold,” either in name, ingredient or colour. Guests can enjoy the Good as Gold cocktail alongside creations such as 松露黄金鲈鱼饺 goldfish dumplings filled with seasonal truffle, 镇江香醋牛肋排 braised beef short ribs with black vinegar sauce finished with pumpkin, carrot and gold leaf, 潮汕香黄蜜瓜虾球 crispy battered prawn with bergamot sauce in Chaoshan style, and 黄金奶茶汤圆 golden milk tea dumplings, elegantly finished with gold leaf.
“At Hakkasan, we are delighted to welcome guests visiting during this special holiday. To mark the occasion, we have created a limited-edition menu and cocktail, celebrating the richness of Chinese heritage through modern Cantonese dining.” Says Andy Toh Chye Siong, Hakkasan Corporate Chef. “Whether travelling from afar or joining us locally, Golden Week at Hakkasan is an invitation to gather, indulge and celebrate tradition with a contemporary twist.”
The Golden Week menu will be available all day at Hakkasan Mayfair from 1st to 7th October 2025. Advance booking is recommended, though walk-ins are welcome.
