Haldiram’s Expands Menu with New Dessert & Ice Cream Collection Exclusive to London

Following the hugely successful opening of its first UK restaurant in Leicester Square this June, Haldiram’s is expanding its menu with the launch of a new dessert and ice cream collection, available only at its London restaurant.

The 120-cover, 3,000 sq. ft restaurant on Irving Street marked a significant milestone for the iconic Indian brand, introducing Haldiram’s first full-service restaurant in the UK and a new premium casual dining concept outside of its traditional quick-service format. Within days of opening, queues wrapped around Leicester Square as eager diners flocked to experience the restaurant, establishing Haldiram’s as one of London’s most talked-about restaurant openings of the summer.

Building on that momentum, Haldiram’s is now inviting guests back to discover a new collection of desserts and premium ice creams, created exclusively for its London restaurant. Designed to sit alongside the restaurant’s much-loved savoury menu, the new additions celebrate classic Indian sweets while introducing new interpretations of familiar favourites, available nowhere else in the Haldiram’s portfolio.

Highlights include a Chai Affogato, reimagining the Italian dessert with aromatic chai and ice cream; Gajar Halwa Spring Rolls, giving the traditional carrot pudding a crisp new format; Gulab Jamun Churros served with silky rabri; and a Dark Chocolate & Panjeeri Crumble Tart, pairing the comforting warmth of panjeeri with rich dark chocolate. The dessert offering is complemented by a selection of premium ice creams including Masala Chai, Saffron & Mango, and Milk Cake Crumble, inspired by some of India’s most-loved sweet treats, rounding off the dining experience.

The new additions build on a menu that is already known for serving some of India’s best-loved regional dishes, from chole bhature and pav bhaji to raj kachori and an extensive chaat offering, while continuing Haldiram’s ambition to honour tradition through contemporary formats designed for a global audience.

‘Following the incredible response to our opening, we’re excited to give guests even more reasons to visit,’ said Rhea Agarwal, Commercial Director – Haldiram’s UK & EU. ‘Desserts have always played an important role in Indian celebrations and family dining, and this collection allows us to celebrate those traditions while introducing something completely new and different for our London guests.’

Alongside the restaurant, guests can also explore Haldiram’s dedicated retail space, featuring the brand’s renowned sweets, snacks and packaged products to take home.

With a heritage spanning nearly nine decades and a presence across more than 80 countries, Haldiram’s continues its international expansion while remaining rooted in the recipes and traditions that have defined the brand since 1937. The latest menu additions represent another step in that journey, offering diners a fresh reason to return and experience a new side of one of India’s most recognisable food brands.
