HARMONIC WINS MAJOR £2.6M CONTRACT EXTENSION WITH THE MOD

Leading UK management consultancy firm, Harmonic, that helps public and private sector organisations to win business, deliver projects and transform for a stronger future, has been awarded a second-year contract extension by the MOD – worth £2.6m – to continue to support its WATERGUARD Programme.

WATERGUARD was established to deliver an efficient and effective solution to enable the department to be tax economic and compliant with Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC) regulations, applicable European Law and the contractual obligations of foreign military sales (FMS) agreements.

The support will ensure HMRC legislation is met whilst also ensuring compliance with all aspects of future rules, regulations and legislation that arise from the EU exit. In addition, it will enable the MOD to build upon the Programme’s success and implement improvements for automation, which will ensure further supply chain efficiencies and improvement in data integrity.

Harmonic partners with organisations to help manage change, build resilience and take action to gain competitive advantage.

Tom Samuel, the firm’s Chief Executive, said: “Harmonic’s retention of this contract is a tremendous opportunity to be involved in the delivery of a crucial MOD requirement and is testament not only to the continued success of our team on the ground, but also the dedicated support from the Harmonic HQ.”

David Frankland, from the MOD said: “We have been delighted with Harmonic’s consistently strong performance on the WATERGUARD Programme.

“The team has demonstrated a strong cooperative work ethic throughout and by applying its deep expertise to a range of supply chain and information system problems they have produced significant benefits for us.

“I have particularly valued their flexibility in responding to short notice tasks promptly, effectively and efficiently and I look forward to working with the team moving forward.”
