HERA Stratford Launches Authentic Greek Specials for Easter

HERA, the luxuriously authentic, newly opened Greek restaurant in Stratford, is launching an exclusive Easter menu, available only on Easter Sunday.

With 8 new dishes to choose from, diners will be spoiled for choice with each dish offering a modern spin on a Greek Easter classic. To begin, delight in the Karveli, also known as Village Bread, accompanied with Kokkina Auga, vibrant and traditional Easter red eggs. Small plates include Tomatokeftedes (tomato balls with a lime and yoghurt mousse), and Mushroom Magiritsa (wild mushroom soup with eggs and herbs).

For mains, indulge in the new Cuttlefish Fricassee, a Greek cuttlefish stew with lettuce, dill and lemon emulsion, a traditional Baby Chicken with new potatoes and mustard jus, or a Grilled Rack of Lamb, with roast potatoes and lemon & thyme jus.

HERA is also offering three new Easter exclusive desserts, including a House-Made Tsoureki (sweet brioche and chocolate ice cream), a Greek Yoghurt with a cherry sweet spoon and basil oil, or Sokolatopita, a chocolate cake with vanilla chantilly and banana ice cream.

Start, or indeed end, your Easter meal with a HERA cocktail, which can be enjoyed in the Cocktail Lounge located at the front of the restaurant. Choose from HERA signatures including Helen of Spice (a twist on a Spicy Margarita) and Dates in Crete (a twist on an Old Fashioned) or whisk yourself away to warmer climates with a refreshing Nymph Minthe or Karpouzi Island. It is no secret that Greek wine is now world class and Hera’s wine list doesn’t disappoint. From Santorini’s Assyrtiko to the rich Cabernet Sauvignon, of Kokotos, at HERA a true taste of Greece goes beyond what is on your plate.

Celebrate Easter the Greek way at HERA this April.
